Art – Energy promotes and enhances creativity by the use of
movement, breathing, and visualization exercises. Practice these
exercises with discretion and common sense. For example, never drive,
use tools, or even walk down the street, as you meditate or visualize.
Excessive energy practice can make you light headed or
“energy
intoxicated.” Do no more than a half hour a
day—unless you
are working directly with an experienced teacher of energy techniques.
(To get “sober” from an energy intoxification do
easy,
simple physical movements and gentle exercises.)
People who have experienced--or are experiencing--severe mental or
emotional disturbances should avoid doing the practices and exercises
suggested on this site. While doing any energy exercise may be helpful
for mild depression or anxiety, releasing intense inner trauma is best
handled with a professional and certified mental health professional.
If there is any possible question about your physical or mental health,
consult your physician or therapist before beginning this or any other
physical and/or mental regimen.
A solitary and excessive practice over a long period of time
possibly may contribute to negative changes in personality such as
outbursts of anger.
Art-Energy offers physical and mental techniques to improve your
creativity. What follows is not
presented as healing or health
practices.
